7MGTE bypass valve

Hey all, my buddy has just bought himself a salvage 7MGTE imported from Japan, and are currently rebuilding it from the ground up. He borrows my wrenches, (snapon, craftsman took a while to save for all them) and I get to hone my mechanics skills. Anyway, we have tuned a few turbos before, Ford Thunderbird Turbo Coupe, Mitsu Starion/ Chrysler Conquest as well as a few others. Our question after searching the posts is this:
The stock bypass valve, labeling;
toyota 17670-42010 084900-0320 ABV denso japan
what is the boost rating for this valve? Friend wants to run 10-15 psi in the end (why must he always have to go faster!) and will use an aftermarket bypass, but thinks he could use the stock bypass in another car if the settings are right. So what is the bypass level of this thing?
