What's an SST
In the TSRM it says to adjust the door "Using SST, loosen the door hinge bolts". My question is: What is an SST?
Thanks, Scruff |

My money is on Special Service Tool.
I may have read that, but my memory may be fuzzy too. |
^ +1 Special Service Tool...or Tool We Made To Try And Get You To Bring Your Car To The Dealer For Service (TWMTTAGYTBYCTTDFS). You can usually be really creative w/ the tools you have available to you to get the job done just as well (and cheaper). If it's for a certain repair, just ask around, someone has probably had to make the same repair at some point and can give you an idea of how it's done.
Ooops, just read the post's specifics...the best way I can think of to make that adjustment to the door is to remove the fender to loosen the hinges. Someone may have a better idea though. |
Remove Fender
Hey, that's what I was thinking. It looks as if I remove the fender, I will have access to the hinges. This is not clear in the TSRM details so can someone verify this? Could save me a bolt load of money.

heh... taking off the fenders is a little more then just the fenders... the obvious, bolts are everywhere. you gotta first take out the tire well walls, to get to the bolts in there, the mud flap, then you gotta unbolt it from the nosecone/top bumper, that was fun. but after you get all those outa the way the rest are easy... sorry i cant be of more help but good luck with which ever way you choose to go...
