head studs are the way to go for good secureness....and they dont really need to get re-torqued because the stem dont twist when u tighten them....but its harder to change the head or gasket when everything is in the car....
head bolts are good too but they will need to get re-torqued because the stem twists a little; n when it heats up after a while it loosens up....but its easier to do hg's n shyt while the motor is in the car..... i'd say the best is STUDS....it has equal tightness without twisting strain on the stem....... ![]()

I just ordered a head gasket. Are you telling me I'll have to take the engine completely out if I use studs or just have a little more difficult time manuevering the head around?

i haven't used arp studs i used arp bolts so i'm talking completely out of my ass here.
but from what i've seen online people are saying you have to pull it . and from what i remember from pulling the register pins , i would think it would be a MF to get the head on while arp studs are in .
