Hello, I was thinking about purchasing a short ram intake for my 1986.5 n/a supra. I found one on 2kracing.com. It's a weapon-R intake but it didn't give a very good picture, so I'm not too sure about it. I was wondering if anyone knew anything about this product, does it suck? Will it even work on my car? Thanks, your help is MUCH appreciated.

is 2kracing a reliable source?

i have absolutely no idea if it will work or not... i've never heard of anyone making an intake for the 86-92 supra but i think you should email them just to confirm measurements etc that it will fit
also you can gauge by how long they take to answer and what their answer is like.. i.e short abrupt... not interested obviously, short polite contains all info you need... they're willing to have spent time to answer your questions have a look and see if they have reviews on their site... has anyone else bought stuff from them? just have a general look around about the company and really it's up to you to buy their product if you do get it let us know how fitment went and also your impression of the company :) |
if it was me i would just make my own it is cheeper
http://www.supra.co.nz/images/mysupra5.jpg i dig your intake supra_girl did you do it |
So no one has ever heard of WeaponR? That's kind of shady... i didn't see any reviews for items on their page either. I'd definitely make an itake if i could... Thanks for your help!

Yeah, i dunno. If anyone cares enough, i would be eternally grateful if they would check it out here: http://www.2kracing.com/product_info.php/c...9d06a1b03fde511 and tell me what they think. It doesn't look bad, but i just wanted to check out some smarter people's opinions. Thanks!!!!!!

You can definately make ur own intake, all the upper part is, is a pipe, all u have to do is find a pipe about that size that comes off of a different car, after all,the bottom of the intake is an adapter that u can buy off ebay for like no more than $20 dollars. The pipe itself shouldn't run u that much money either, so for about 50 bucks u can make an intake, thats better than making the same mistake i did by buying an intake from HKS that cost me $112.oo bucks, when it arrived i looked at the hardware and said muther fucker, i could have made this thing!!!!!!!!!

I've seen people put Weapon R stuff on their civics, ect...not bad stuff...but not anything to write home about. It's an intake pipe, nothing big...
It will more than likely work, and seeing that it's the only kit I've seen for the N/A....now if only you had access to a dyno and see if it makes any realy difference. |
