My mechanic says that my 1987 toyota supra has a blown head gasket and that it is on recall. So far I have not gotton anyone to confirm this is a recall. Help.
Thankyou Roxanne |

Hi,
I am guessing that your car is not on recall, as you say its a 1987 model so its 18 years old, I've never heard of a car company doing a recall on a car that old so doubt your mechanic is correct but hey, who knows lol |

Sorry, my mechanic said it was recalled some years ago and that a recall is for a lifetime and that I should see if my particular car was a part of that recall and that if it wasnt then I would have a chance at getting it fixed my the manufacturer.

i understand what you mean roxanne but i still cant see any manufacturer willing to replace a broken part that has lasted 18 years before going wrong, they usually only do warranties for 5 years maximum over here in the UK, it may be different where you are and if it is then i'm moving lol
