Question New to supras

Hows it going everyone? I just wanted to ask something real quick. I am thinking about purchasing an '89 Supra turbo sport roof with 84,000 miles. its a 5 speed, with 14 PSI boost, open exhaust, lowered, power everything, targa top etc. etc. And hes asking $4200 for it. I have yet to see the interior, but the outside pics look very good. What im asking is would this be a good price, and what about the '89 supras, are they pretty easy to mod? (forgive my incompetency to supras! )

basically I figured, who else to ask but the supra experts, haha.

i think 4200 is a good price for a turbo supra with 14 lbs of boost and wit the other extras thats a beautiful deal doesnt matter what the interior looks like youre getting a fast car, the only thing you can do is ask him to bring down the price to four grand even

you'll have a hard time finding a gen 4 turbo for a little more than 4200

Talking New But Not New

HELL EVERYONE, NEW TO THE CAR BUT AT THE SAME TIME I KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH IT BUT SOMETIMES NOT SUE ABOUT IT. WOULD I INCREASE THE SPED BY SWOOPING A 2JZ ON A NON-TURBO STICK SHIFT 1986 AND HAVIN HEADDERS WITH A DOWN PIPE OR AM I WRONG.

i dunno what were that guy thinking sayin that youre gonna get a 4th gen supra for a litlle more, first of all unless youre tryin to get some thing that barely or doesnt run at all, you can buy one for 5000 dollars is that what you meant, but it will cost him more than 3000 at least to get the car back to decent shape, and then it might end up as a salvage opr rebuilt car, which will giv him a harder time to sell it in the future, and another thing is , owning and driving a mk4 has almost twice as much insurance as a mk3 so , i dunno why would u sudgest that to a newbie

hell ya, but the swap would cost quite a bit of money, i mean your would be totally rebuilding the entire engine, transmission as well as electical wiring not to mention the electronics, it would probally cost around 8-10k to do
