Engine problem
I have here Supra year 1995-Engine 2jz-gte
Well I have a question about a engine problem-I did just put in a new cylinder block and it has only been driven 3000 km and now it's fucked up again. The problem is that the pistons melt and the sparkplugs do also. The turbos are set to too 1,2 bars and the fuel pressure is normal and its run on 95 okt.gas,Timing is also ok. Too me it look's like overboost but what do you boy?s and girls think about this and is there somebody that has had the same problem???? Thanks Malli |

Your Detonating
Your problem REALLY sounds like you are detonating. Your either running too lean, or you are pushing WAY too much boost. There could be another problem that is happening, but that would more than likely encompass something with your cooling system. I would check to see if you are getting proper cooling.
I would almost put money on detonation though. Gotta watch those aluminum heads. I am sorry to hear about your problem though, sounds like its a costly fix.

absolutely detonation
get your fuel pressure checked when wot make sure you injectors are not clogged and have you ever been on a dyno? never should you turn boost up without some sort of monitoring device for your fuel system best bang for the buck = zeitronix zt2 air fuel wideband meter www.zeitronix.com
