Please check this to see if deal is legit
hey, i am new to this forum nd ive discovered the wonders of the mkiii supras and i just wanted to post this up to get some feedback aso to whether this deal that ive found online was worth it....
I LOWERED THE ORIGINAL PRICE....I WILL SELL IT FOR FIRST PERSON WITH $2900 CASH I have finally decided to sell my supra and its up for sale ! I will keep it short and simple yet promising...Its a 1989 supra hardtop 5speed with the JDM 45k miles motor freshly built by F&H in Long Island....I did the HKS metal headgasket and changed the entire set of seals and gaskets from Toyota under that hood....the motor is fresh and ready for boost....It also has HKS Intake....3 inch Mega-mouth turbo elbow, 3 inch downpipe...3 inch test pipe....and 3 inch exaust system from Horsepowerfreaks.com....car recently got brand new starter and alternator and brand new battery installed...The car also have MKIV rims with brand new 285's rear and 245's front along with Tokico shocks, lowered by eibach springs, brand new 4 calipers, new all around rotors with new pads...The suspension was done in this car about a month ago because it needs an alignment to be done. Car has inspection untill 05/01/07...The car is extremely clean from the outside and in good condition inside...I took the backseats out to install cage but never got the time to do so...I have the back seats in garage and all panels and spare tire....The car always has been garaged and looks very very sweet on the road. I have clean title in hand so please contact me ASAP because I need the money badly. I had it posted for $3800 about a week ago and alot of ppl calls to make appointment but never follows-up. I am selling it for $2900 CASH because I moved out of my parents house. I need to get a place to rent so this car needs to go ASAP. If you don't have the money or intention to buy please dont bother calling or emailing. I don't need ppl coming by and abusing the car and say to me that they dont have the cash at the moment. I NEED THE MONEY ASAP SO I AM GOING TO TAKE $2800 JUST BECAUSE THE WINDSHIELD HAS A SMALL ROCK CHIP ON IT. Thanks for the space craigslist ! I spent about $900 cash just by doing HKS metal headgasket & arp studs and seals at the shop, trust me the motor is STRONG. TURBO still pulls hard and only set for 8psi. The car has always been garaged and looks very nice. I LOWERED THE PRICE DOWN TO $2900.00 and selling it AS IS !!! There is no warranty offered with this sale. It's a daily driven or could be a high horsepower beast, JDM toyota motors are very dependable and runs strong. THIS CAR IS WORTH EVERY PENNY FOR $2900.00 I will take $2800 because windshield has a small chip. In NYC, a turbo supra 5speed with jdm motor installed and basic performance upgrades for $2900...THATS A BARGAIN !!! I know its a lot to read but any help would be highly appreciated i am still pretty much a supra newbie and need all the help possible.. Thanks =D |

thats awfully cheap for a mk3 with all those mods. i would look into it, atleast check it out, maybe have a mechanic/friend look at it. take it for a drive, listen for odd sounds/feelings (bumps, pulls to one side, etc). if its legit its def a deal, look into it.

a lot of times.. when someone says "freshly rebuilt" "new headgasket".. they tried it themselves. messed it up and they know it wont last a lot longer because why would they dump about two grand worth of work (including labor time) into their car then sell it soo cheap? to get rid of it? exactly!

I bought this car
Turned out the that the front crossmember had major cracks in it....required a
$200 part from a junkyard but to get it from Toyota was like $1100. Also the rear brake lights are out. I found the $200 part in Cali, as far as everything else it is pretty legit, full 3" exhaust and the engine seems solid (so far)......

Custom 3 inch stainless exhaust with Cat...passed emissions in NY April this year...I still have to get it through NJ but I don't think that will be a huge problem..
