Alarm

My son and I just bought his 89 Supra and the Alarm does the same thing, so far I always go through the passenger side, but would like to fix it so we can access the drivers side without setting off the alarm, we would like to keep the alarm intack just in case my son decides to install other audio equipment. Is there any input on preventing the alarm from going off!!!!

Perhaps the switch in the drivers door lock is inop, thus not operating the alarm properly.

Alarm

I did think of this after I asked for some, help, I will take off the drivers door panel and look into this, but I will have to put this on the less priority, I have to many irons in the pot, and my son is only 15 so he is not quite Mechanically incline as of yet, Also I posted a question on the fuse panel, I have looked in the ususal places but was unable to locate it, Mrnickleye do you happen to know where it is.

umm there are two places to find fuses. the first one is under the hood right next to the battery and the other place is the driver side right next to clucth/brake pedal and you can tell were its at. use a lite and move the seat all they back so u have some working room. this might help too. http://www.cygnusx1.net/supra/library/TSRM/

Fuses

Yep, I looked here also, but I guess it was to dark. the panel is a very small one, I will hopefully get to it this weekend, But let me say, I am a little invious of my son when he gets his drivers license, I have been driving the car for about 2 weeks, and I have to say It handles really well. A lot better than my Daughters Eclispe, it wa a bit bumpy.

Alarm

I think it is the actual connections in the door panel that wear out. That is why the drivers side sets it off but the passenger side works correctly. The passenger door is used much less often. When going in thru the drivers side, if the alarm goes off, turn the key twice to the right, that should disengage the alarm and allow you to drive. I got that advice from a dealer shop so I assume it's pretty good. Good Luck. (your son is a lucky kid, 15 and gettin a Supra).

Scruff.
