***Need expert advice on a 2JZGTE swap in a Lexus***
Hello Supra owners....I'm in the market for some kind of early/late 90's Lexus to use as a daily-driver for the time being. Later on down the road, I would like to swap in a 2JZGTE (I think that's the famous 93 - 97 Turbo Supra motor of choice but correct me if I'm wrong). I'd like to know what's the most feasible and/or possible Lexus vehicle that would cater to this swap. Make sure to include whether I should purchase a V6 or a V8 Lexus, i.e. Lexus GS300 or GS400. Also, I'd probably go with an automatic transmission but include your knowledge on which setup would be best. I know the SC300 has a manual option but they're tough to find and I'm not sure if I'd want another 5-speed for a daily-driver. Alright guys....you can reply to this post, PM me and/or send me an email with your expert advice. I'm looking to purchase a Lexus within the next two weeks so the sooner the better on the advice. Thanks Supra owners and I'm looking forward to hearing from ya........sixfourbolt.

sumbody already did this
with an old model gs300 did a complete drift setup with an aristo 2jz engine but the problem your gonna have is its hard to find a genuine 2jz motor from a toyota maybe a jdm one most of them are from an aristo which isnt the same 2jz that you find from mk4 supras if you want i can try looking for the article and i can scan it so you can read it here

Thanks....
Yeah, that article would be great....the things is...I know it's possible and I'm sure I can do it no matter how difficult, but I'm sure it's easier with a certain model Lexus and that's why I posted the question. I've learned that the IS300 has the same bottom-end as the 2JZGTE less the compression ratio and oil squirters, so I may lean towards purchasing one of those. I did have my eyes set on a '99 GS400 as I want to build a big-body sleeper. The IS300 reminds me of a ricer with a Lexus badge so I would rather not purchase one of those. On another note, if you could refer me to some post/forums/articles where someone has turbocharged the stock powertrain of a GS300 and/or 400 (particularly the GS400) then that would be cool too. Do you know how stout the internals of the GS400 are? Long story short, any kind of info would help my friend. Thanks for the reply too.
