1JZ-GTE 2.5 TT Overheat
Got a great JZ engine, but the previous owner had lost the Rad.
This is replaced, but when I really slogg the engine, I get an overheat, which is often cured by simply using the internal heater at full blast. Uncomfotable in the summer. Tell tale disaster signs:- Loss of Power Stearing fluid, and boiling off of engine coolant, after a heavy run. I understand the Power stearing pump and water pump are interganged, and its a mighty expensive set of parts to replace. Before I take the whole lot off. I have heard that on the MKIVs, they have a similar issue, due to a lower bearing/pulley wearing out, making actual pump circualtion reduce. |
