Hello, I have a 1987 Toyota Supra...
I would like to make this thing a bit fast..there is a lot of racing where I am at.
I was wondering what kind of mods could you put in one, to make it run great, and go fast =)
Is there room for a Twin Turbo in a 87? What else can I do?

WHAT IS WITH EVERYONE AND TWIN TURBO THESE DAYS!!! It has been proven, time and time again, that more power can be produced out of a single turbo under your hood, than a twin can ANYDAY!! There is a larger amount of room for a single BIG turbo, then to use that same room for two SMALLER turbo's.

I think all these young punks now of days hear twin turbo, and they think its a killer machine or something. When I am done my restoration....I will spank any twin turbo with same PSI output as mine.....ANYDAY!

im trying to find out right now

which one spools up faster, the two small ones or the single big one?

No it doesn't have a turbo now, it is stock..

i can see sumbody tryin to jump in the racing scene quick
and by the way, you can still say youre car's stock, and it still can have a turbo
ie: i have a stock 88 turbo,, see?

but dont try to rush things
you got a heavy n/a car
sure you can step all over stock civics,
but wheres the fun in that

if u really wanna go fast, you gotta earn it
for starters, get you intake and exhaust done,
make your car a little lighter,
those simple things can make your car a little more competitive in the races

then you can get a turbo
intercooler,
new tranny
injectors
pumps
regulators
crankshaft
pistons
rods
new more gripping tires maybe?
lighweight rims, anything to make the car lighter
what about a SA fuel management system
that way you can have total control of your engine
(sorry if i forgot anything)

but dont rush to the racing part, learn what your can and cant do first
