Question boost trouble

i have an 88 supra turbo,,stock gauge still registers 6 to 7 psi ,,but i get a rather loud sound of air blowing ,and get black smoke out tail pipe,,is my turbo history ,,or is it something simple,,please help

you should check all the clamps on the tubes, and make sure they are sitting on the piping good they should overlap on the pipping a good bit. the problem might be that at a certain psi, it starts to leak by one of the connections. Flow always travels the weakest paths. As far as the smoke, is it constant blac smoke or during certain times?

yea if it sounds like a lotta air is going round mroe than likely you have a boost leak which will be causing the black smoke as well

check over all your intercooler pipes and do a diagnostic too

it only smokes during boost,,it sounds like alot of air coming from somewhere underneath .. i mean alot of air,,must be coming from the turbo ??? i will keep trying to figure it out ,,thanks for answering me
