hey, iam currently replacing my head gasket on my 86 supra non turbo, and i was wondering, what kinda of tool do i need to take out the head bolts, like what is it called??, iam kinda stuck at the stop lol

i think its a torx tool or a L wrench not sure.

uh, it's an allen bolt.
you need an allen wrench.

10mm hexagon drive (Allen key type) with 3/8 socket, not sure if you can get a 1/2 socket passed the cam, (bit of a tight squeeze in some places) you will properly need to rotate the cam to gain access to some of the bolts. Make sure the hexagon drive is well seated to the bottom of the head bolt and keep it vertical otherwise you could damage the head of the bolt. I used 10mm hexagon dive with 3/8 socket then converted it to 1/2 drive just outside the head so I could use my 1/2 torque wrench when tightening back up. Do you know the correct sequence of undoing the bolts?

You dont want to buy 5 different allen wrenches?! if your cheap/broke ,tell people to get you some tool sets for christmass ,you will also need a torque wrench ,but some parts stores will loan you one if you buy the parts from them.If your seriouse about wrenching on your own car that is.And a book specific to your car would be very helpfull in the garage too.The best present I ever got was a 2 1/2 ton engine hoist.I always ask for tools and parts.Good luck with the head gasket change
