Default Should I get a 1987 Supra

I recenty hit a deer and wrecked my Honda Civic so I'm looking for another car. I haven't had much luck finding anything good in my price range untill I came across a 1987 supra turbo with a blown head gasket and bald tires. The car has 108k on it but its in perfect shape because an adult owned it for most of its life. The car is selling for $2500 and im just wondering about some things.
1. How hard is it to change the headgasket or how much will it cost to get fixed?
2. How reliable are Supras? I need this car to run for a while and I don't want to keep putting money into it to replace parts.
3. What are common problems with supra of that year and what should be done to tune it up at over 100k miles?

head gaskets are a little exspensive but if you spend your money now and get the head and block machined you can get a metal head gasket which will last a long time and you will be able to put more hoarse power to your car. yes these cars are reliable like any other car you just have to take of them. look in faq or it might even be a sticky for the used car buying guide which will be very helpful. by the way 2500 sounds a little expensive for a car with a bhg unless everything else on the car is in mint cond.

Yeah every thing in the car is mint conditionm, the car looks perfect besides the bhg. I think I might do the timming belt to if I replace the head gasket

go for it if you can get the guy down to 2grand

you got a good $1500 into the headgasket job.

i would suggest a MHG if you dont want another BHG.

i think he hit a deer and then swerved and hit something else. if a deer wrecked a car either the deer was like a moose or the car is a pos.
