Noise on tight turns
When I make a tight left turn while parallel parking, I sometimes hear a metal on metal noise. I've seen this discussed on the board before and recently when I had my car up on a lift, I saw what causes it. There is a plastic cap that goes over what looked like a nut on the wheel and it is worn the hell out. Does anyone know what Toyota calls this thing or what part number it is? I couldn't find it in the TSRM. It is nothing more than a small plastic cover that keeps the metal on metal from happening. I'd like to get one, but I don't even know what to ask for, can anyone help me?
Thanks, Scruffboy |

Little lube.
Always good to clean off the contact surfaces and then coat them with a smear of synthetic grease (tube of caliper grease).
