Small Fan with Split wire
Hi Folks, I hope someone out there can help me. I own an 89 N/A. Today while driving home I saw my check engine light come on and off, but it only seemed to happen in first or second gear. When I got home I popped the hood and noticed a little oil on a wire that is connected to a small fan directly in front of the alternator. It is one wire that splits to two terminals. Directly underneath it is the same set up, they are stacked one on top of the other. I can not see where this oil is coming from. If this has anything to do with my air conditioning, I can do without it cuz that hasn't worked since I bought the car. Can someone point me in the right direction? I don't even know where to look in the TSRM because I don't know what it is I'm looking at. Thanks in advance.
Sincerely, Scruffboy |
