After about a month of messing around with every possible throttle and idle device on my car, I found a little screw within the linkage that sets up against a cam type set-up, and that set my idle down to 700. Whew. I kept messing with the wrong screw, the one in front, but it was the one behind that one. Well, I learned about coolant temp. sensors, throttle position sensors, idle speed valves, air temp sensors, learned how to read the diagnostic flash outs using a broken paper clip and feel I know a little more about my car now. I want to thank everyone who helped, especially BillUK and Mr.Nickleye and everyone else who kept throwin ideas out at me and gave me diagrams to study. It's a pleasure to be a part of this forum.
Thanks All, Scruffboy Here In New Jersey |
