1jz!!
Hey, I have a 1990 Toyota Supra (Automatic)
I was wondering a quick question, with a 1 JZ engine... Is it a direct drop in? Or what do you have to change out...from where I hear...it would just go right in...and you hook everything up... So so...new ECU and all that... I found a deal...sounds good, engine is clean, 800 dollars .. 1JZ Twin Turbo, 30-40k miles...Comes with ECU...Tranny (Auto) and all that good stuff... CUT HARNESS...can I use my OLD HARNESS? Or do I need to upgrade? I don't know for sure..please let me know... That is all the questions I have for now, if somebody could please take the time to answer them... Thanks, Ken

you need the 1jz wiring harness as it is a
1jz and you have a 7m and they are two different engines source a wiring harness and it will be plug n go don't forget to get the alloy engine mount brackets for the engine also as they differ between the two engines

k... in theory
the 90+ 7mgte ecu will have the same type of plugs as a 1jz ecu does cut them from a 90+ 7m harness and rewire onto your 1jz harness as it will need extending if you are lhd anyway. check out www.1jz-gte.us for ecu pin info. when you go to buy the engine just ask them if it has the engine mount brackets. if not i guess you'll have to post in wanted forums and search ebay etc
