My engine is running fine and does not overheat, however the passenger compartment gets very warm. I suspect this is from the exhaust pipes running under the center of the car. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a fix such as abestos lining between the exhaust and under body? Thanks.

If you have a cat converter on, there should be a heat shield on the cat, and a shield bolted to the car above the cat, as it can run up to 1800*. My '89 came factory with shields all around the header pipe all the way back to the cat. This was to keep the passenger compartment cooler. I believe all these parts are still available from the dealer, and wrecker yard too.
