have miss in engine

hi i have a 88 n/a supr and the engine starts missing at 3800 rpm and i ahve no clue wats wrong

Does it run ok at idle? My 86 just came from the shop having a miss that got worse as the rpms went up. It sounded like a slight miss at idle and if the pedal was used hard it would smooth out. As the rpms rose above 2500 the miss would grow until the car felt like it had a flat.

It turned out to be the number six injector which needed to be cleaned to pass emissions last summer. Replaced it and fixed the central gasket between the cam covers and gave it new plugs and wires and it runs the best it ever has.
