i have a 1988 supra and i am trying to convert my ac but i having a bit of trouble finding out what all it intails and i am also trying to figure out which is the hig side port and which is the low side of the port so if anyone can help me please i am in the south and need to keep cool

The High side is on the 'small' line to the receiver/drier. The low side is on the compressor. You can buy converision kits for about $40 (here in Calif). It consists of some compressor oil that is compatible with R12 & R134a, and the R134a adaptors for the 2 ports. Most adaptors need the existing (on the car) schrader valves removed before installing.
The system needs to have the R12 removed, and then vacuumed down for about an hour with the proper machine. It only costs $200. OTD (out the door) here at my shop. Shop around for a shop price. Here in the Mojave Desert, we sell R12 for $65 lb. R134a for $26 lb. Supras (mk3) take about 2 lbs. PS....we ALWAYS put in some dye, to help find any leaks. Be carefull....the a/c system is under pressure, and when on, the high side can run around 300psi. A 'pin-hole' leak can cut you real quick, and freon/oil may enter your blood stream (like in KILL YOU).
