Can a '90 Toyota be rekeyed?
I went to Toyota today and was told my '90 is too old to have the key codes on file. I wondered if since I own another Toyota that is only 5 yeas newer, is it possible to have the Supra rekeyed so that both cars use the same keys? I realize this means I can't sell either car locally, but given that the two cars are a '90 Supra that I am not going to sell and a '96 Camry with 163K miles nobody is really going to want to buy them anyway (okay. the Supra will sell.) Even if I did I would probably just sell the car to Carmax so the next owner would have no idea who I am or that I even own another Toyota.
Thoughts?
