What Gives?
Last week I head a new head gasket put on. I've been driving around and everything has been O.K. I put maybe 2 hundred miles on it. Today I went to the beach. Before leaving I checked all the fluids and the coolant was real high, up to the neck in the cap. On the way back I pushed it a little. Got it up to about 100 maybe 110. The car wasn't overheating but I noticed the overflow bottle spitting. I got home, waited a while, then did a block test. It stayed blue, or bluish, definitely didn't turn yellow. Could my mechanics assistant just have overfilled the coolant? I no longer have the waterfall sound in my dash and the heat works fine now, so what else could cause the overflow to spit out like that? Could it just have been overfilled. I check the overflow bottle everyday now and it has been staying level.
