Oil Leak Question
I have had this oil leak for sometime now and can't seem to find it. Can anyone tell me where it could possiably be leaking oil from. If your facing the car and your standing in front of it most of my leak coming from the left side of the car and down the front. its gotta so bad it leak into my timing belt and cause it to snap.I have the front completly off and about to put in a new timing belt, but i need to find and fix the leak first. Any help would be apreciated it.
Thank you |

Well, most of the time when you have oil on your timing belt, the oil comes from either the cam seals or the front crank seal, and on 7M's the oil pump drive shaft seal, since the oil pump is timing belt driven.
But the way you described it, it sounds like the O-ring for the CPS. Unless you have a non-turbo, then its the O-ring for the distributor. But I don't think oil can get on the timing belt from the CPS leaking. |
