turbo spoiling, weird noise, notta lotta power?

i just got an 89 supra auto and had to replace the turbo. the turbo that was in it when i bought it had f-ing horrible shaft play but still spooled till bout 3k rpm, it was junk though. anyhoo, the used turbo i put in has no shaft play (>1mm) and it spools fine but then i'm also hearing this whining noise that almost sounds like gears are grinding, but really fast. this is only when you get on it. there is along with it; under normal boostage. im most def sure it is not from the motor cause it did NOT do this with the other shit turbo.

help asap!! pretty please!!

ps. i also am gettin a NEW aftermarket turbo to replace this bastard... any good/cheap ones under 500? (with manifold)
