i guess somethings wrong with my car then, regarding oil pressure. at startup she idles at 1500 and a lil over 40psi. after warm up idles at 650 right under the first hash mark...hmmm

well if you have your owners manual, it will actually show you the different ranges that are safe for what rpms its running at, and i believe it mentions when you first start it , when its cold, the pressure is gonna be higher.

also the car shouldn't be idling at 1500rpm cold, check your ignition timing, also is probly why oil pressure is higher than normal

but its distibutorless? can you adjust timing on these? i thought it was a maintenance free from timing?

have you got a 1jzgte?

if you don't have the above engine you have a cps or distributor

whats cps
is a 1jzgte a supra engine? is it a mk3 is that why it sounds so familiar? what do all the numbers and letters stand for?

1JZGTE = 2.5L twin turbo 280hp stock @ the flywheel and comes in mk3's chassis known as JZA70
mother engine to where the 2JZGTE was born

cps = cam position sensor (distributor basically but electronic)

what are cams exactly? is it older versions of pistons? whats the difference between a twin turbo and a twin cam?
