jus right behind the fusebox theres a little black box with diagnostic written on it get a paper clip or any conductive metal and short the ts and e1 terminals go back into the car, turn the key onto the on position and count how many times the light blinks it might get confusing at times, so dont blink for a code 51 itll blink like this : . . . . . . code 24 : . . . . . . its kinda like morse code good luck, let us know what you get

diagnostics... old toyotas don't require the plug in computer as the plug in computer don't actually recognise our diagnostic systems
do as above, go read your codes put a wire in T & E1 or in some supras it's TE1 & E1 watch the check engine light code 51 will be like this flash flash flash flash flash....... flash code 34 flash flash flash....... flash flash flash flash pretty easy, now go do it oh and you can't replace "chips" in toyota ecu's, it just doesn't happen... hope you didn't give them too much cash report back with your codes

One more thing,
Good advice from the above posts, but as for the red light in the tachometer staying on, the only thing I can think of is it is the cruise control light. On the left side of the steering wheel is a button that says "Cruise Main". Hit that button and it should go off. Hope that helps.

Speed sensor problem
Mine returned with a speed sensor problem..
It also affects my idle (as it drops constantly and sometimes even stalls when i'm at a stand-still) 1994 supra non-turbo manual... Any ideas? I'm soon getting a 2jzgte half-cut so it will hopefully get rid of the problem.. So i'll be selling my engine, one thing is, i don't want to sell it with the problem.. I have already spent too much money trying to get it fixed and I don't want them to go through the same thing.. One mechanic said that the error code must be coming from the odometer reader.. Does that sound right to anyone or has anyone got any tips for me? Thanks for any help I get, guys. |
