some information needed
 

I do not know very much about supras but i was wondering if anyone could tell me what kind of turbo is on this mark 4 supra? i've heard people say that it makes 500-600hp but i am sceptical...i also believe that this was an N/A supra with an ebay type turbo kit added on but i could be wrong...the turbo spool is extremely loud from outside the car and there is a lot of black smoke that comes out of the exhaust when under hard acceleration but i think the muffler has been removed on the car...anyways, any input/opinions would be helpful. thanks

I have no idea about the turbo but as for the muffler... just go behind the car and look under and you will see if there is one, hehe.

haha yeah, the muffler is gone..i've only seen the car once in person and i was in another car driving near it on the highway

any benefit to removing the muffler on a turbo setup?

That does indeed look like an NA with a turbo kit. I can see the old distributor, which turbos do not have. Can anyone confirm this? Also, how does it perform? Are you happy with the way it runs? I'm an NA owner and this is very interesting to me. Post some more info if you can.

There's not really an advantage of having no muffler... in my opinion it's kind of dumb because all it makes is noise. Therefore the police won't like that.... and it's also hard on the valves.....

so what would a mark iv with a turbo kit like this make as far as hp? assuming the internals of the engine are all stock, etc...
