Finaly bought my mkIII
I've been dreaming of a supra since i first saw the mkIII on the road.
Now i finaly bought one in germany. I'm picking it up next weekend. Car is from 1990, has no rust, only bad thing about the interior is the tear in the armrest. Technicaly sound and only 150.000km on it. So now there are off course some questions: What is the maximum tiresize (wide) you guys fit on a mkIII, retaining the fatory circlesize of tire (technical inspection here doesn't allow odometers to be off because of tires too tall). Also, as for wheels, what's the ET value for the 5x114.3 wheels i should order? Then, since i remapped my own car and some others, i'm off course interested in remapping my supra's ecu. Anyone know of some good binfile or site where they have the maplocations etc? Thanks a lot, and i'll post some pictures as soon as i have the car (gotta make some room since the driveway will have a Volvo S70, a volvo amazon, a vw baja bug and then the supra....) |

I got most of my answers reading this forum allready.
So, for a "tune" i should get me a ct26 with a 60-1 modification, 550cc injectors and the lexus afm. This along with tweaking an aftermarket blow off valve should get me going ok? Those are the first things i'll do, along with getting interior made in custom collor. Wheels i dunno yet, it has bbs ones on it, and they look ok. |

May be worth looking at suprasmitten leather work for interior.
Wheel data PCD 5 x 114.3 Offset 35-38 Centre Bore 60 The stock wheels are 16 x 7, most UK supras seem to upgrade to 18 x 8.5 front and 9.5 rear. You need to do some research before deciding wheel sizes, what may look ok doesn’t necessary drive ok. One of my Supra`s had 8 front and 9 rear, the steering felt very twitchy compared with the 7 wheels, when driving it seemed to need correcting more often than normal to keep it on line with the direction of the road. |

Oh boy, is she going to be pissed........ She'll be the one at home when those packages start arriving.
Today i ordered me a set of lucas 550cc injectors and a lexus ls400 afm. I think i'll hold on the spending now, and start saving up for a metal headgasket job in the future. |
