don't forget that 1986.5 supras are non turbo in north america and canada (northern hemisphere) i believe... so make sure there is a turbo attached when you are looking

how much is too much to pay lol.. i don't think you mentioned how much it was going for...
i would probly pay max bout 4k (for an absolutely mint perfect one)

around 800-3000 i think is average over there?

make sure you know the state the head gasket is in... if you aren't sure... start saving and buy a metal head gasket and arp head studs and for machine work... make sure she has oil in it when you and have a look at the car
just find out it's general history
