is there some kind of criteria for membership levels ? it's a bit confusing i see people who don't even own a supra nor have they ever turned a wrench and most likely never will, shooting out suggestions to people who rely on your membership rating system for advice when they come here . lets face it if you were new here: would you be looking for help from a "newbie" or an "advanced member" ? i think we all would assume that the "advanced member" has had some first hand experience hopefully with a supra . it completely de-values the title when someone who has never even seen a supra and couldn't diagnose a blown headlight for the life of herself becomes an advanced member in a matter of a days. i don't recall the exact member total when i joined this forum but i want to say membership was around 700 people the forum is growing and you might want to decide how to create criteria for the future it's easy to talk the talk .. but lets see them walk the walk . what are the levels anyway ? "newbie" i think that should be "new here" "member" "advanced member" one forum i frequent uses icons .. ok so this forum has approx 12,000 users and run by hardcore geeks but it makes sense this is "my rating" Icon rating based on posts i guess this is what i would call an "advanced member" Advanced Member you can easily tell who will probably be best to pay attention to when looking help on this forum. . the current system on the supra forum should be re-evaluated . Well, the mechanics of the board gives the ranking by post count, it's a flaw on such boards where tech knowledge is really needed. Only way to fix it would be to remove it and manually add tags to people.

I'd say you need to add a "vote"system...when they make a decent or helpful post give them a vote blah blah after so many votes your rank increases....something like that...so random thoughts don't add to post count

well unfortunately i think we are running version 0.00 of invision LOL
but i'll go in and mess with the post counts or play with titles actually there's a couple of post whores here but altho they do contribute they're knowledge isn't as advanced as others, altho they are still hugely appreciated maybe we can suggest a title for those that have advanced knowledge so one title someone think of it.... totally different name and i'll post it under everyone's name that contributes advanced information if i do forget someone that believes they should be in that category pls pm me and i will rectify the situation if necessary so ideas ppl on a new title
