Why would you get it cut in half? From what I recall, it's a steel sleeve surrounded by rubber with the pulleys mounted to the exterior. I want to say there were fins on both the sleeve and the pulley but I'm not sure. I don't think you're going to be able to get rebuilt for a fair price... but, if you do please let us know what it cost.
