Forum dying?
 

Lately the forum has seem like its dying out. not many people post, not many funny stuff. I check out houston-imports.com and its always active, but when i come here i dont see any new replies or post. wuts going on people? just thought i should say something..

word i noticed too. when i first joined it seemed a lot more intresting but now it seems like im just working to get a post out.

i guess people just get busy and don't have time to post... i know that the last few months my time has been stretched alot but it should be freeing up in a few months so i can get back here and harass you all on a permanent basis :p

yea when i first joined, it tool about 5 mins to get an answer but what can you do

me myself , im pulling 12 hour days so i can save up money to get another mk3
when i get it tho, im wondering how am i gonna work on it when its freezing outside

i have a glisarine heater and warms my big garage right up.

i thought americans hibernate their cars for the winter? lol

i guess you could warm up a garage if you have one...

yeah i never worked on a car in winter. i probably wont drive it when there salting the roads eithier.

bout the best i can do here was i bought an outside garage... one of those plastic type that you put together
the wind gives it a hiding occasionally but hey my car stays dry lol

least its something

if you get a garage heater then you would have to get an insulated garage door and walls so the heat doesnt escape...or leave the heater on and waste money...

no this heater is just like a plug in while your working. my garage isnt insulated and it holds the heat just fine.

im not used to jus lying around not doing nothing
this is one of the reason i took on drifting,
so that way i can still race in the winter time,
when all the drag cars are tuckd away, hibernating

but i tried the spaceheater in the garage, it somewhat works, but my fingers still get frozen and i cant do anything with no feelings in my fingers

thats not even it, that was inside my garage
last winter, my dad's stupid car was in the garage
and i was putting sum amps in my other car, and a friends car,outside
i did em both in one day,and it was 30* outside with more frozen wind chill
i really thought i had frostbite, cuz my finger did not have any feelings at all
and i couldnt move em for 30 minutes
i was so scared i was gonna lose my fingers

thats why im trying to be more careful this winter,
cuz i dunt think i can wait 6 or more months b4 i can work on a car
im getting my new one by the end of the month

I noticed on "supra forums" there is at least 20 people checking it out at any given time here it like no more than ten but I like this forum as far the rules go

I just got back on this forum because I have a auto, n/a 90' supra that doesnt start and i just gave up on it since im more of a checkbook mechanic. But hopefully i get this 87' Turbo 5-speed. Aslong as it checks out from our local shop.

Maybe a reason for people leaving the forums is they have their car where they want them and don't need us anymore :-(

Oh really? I'm about an hour away. It's an easy drive I just hop on 90 and head south to chicago. I go down there alot still i was born there. If you know how to work on supras then you should deffinetly hit me up on AIM if you have it. Theoretical Tree

id like to work on her, problem is i dunt have the tools or the money to do it

but i am making fiberglass parts out from her
like hoods, fender, maybe the bumper, i still gotta see

but maybe we'll get anonther indian summer within the next month and we can all come together for one last ride b4 the winter comes

on june 4th im getting my license so i will be driving to chicago all summer. i got grounded for failing a class because my teacher is a (C)atch (U) (N)ext (T)uesday and she wouldnt let me make up a test. but defintly next summer i will be cruisen.:gotnos:
