i just thought i'd share one with ya'll i wrote last night.

Lions Mouth of Faith

out in the chasms of sight,
your mind begins its flight,
roaming the great plains of beasts,
viciously barbaric to your feast.

branching away from the home,
grazing the land you roam,
finding the nexus of nascent,
throned as present.

legacy of innovate,
a demise to my replicate,
captured beyond my time,
flowered lime.

squired to service,
assisting the nervous,
stolen life of pride,
swimming asylum died.

laying across the wooden bricks,
prodded by the sticks,
weary on the battlefield,
blistered and bruised i've kneeled.

lasting thread to hear,
listening to its colorful fear,
start to believe,
taken my soul for relief..

battling the lions mouth.
