Mobile/WAP access...
Right so I was online with my phone last night & thought I'd check in here, and got as far as going into the Mk3 forum. But when I clicked on any thread the page would start to load and then a screen came up saying memory full. I'm assuming this is something to do with my phone but after freeing up as much space as possible (just over 6mb free) it's still doing this.
Is there anything else I could do to make the site work on my phone, or am I stuck with having to go to a "real" computer to view? Or get a better phone perhaps? :help: |
Hmm, i'm on my phone now and some threads i can access (including this one ironically!) but a lot of the time it's still givin' the old memory full page... :-/

Yeah, it's a memory issue. Depending on what OS/ROM/firmware (whatever you want to call it) I get varying results. I don't know what platform you're using but Opera mini (not mobile) is excellent for memory impoverished devices... it's Java based and the content is rendered before it's sent to our phone.

Aaaaaarghh! }:-(
Ive deleted just about everything on my fone and it just seems to get worse if anything!!! Anyone else use a mobile to go on here? Any similar problems or ideas to sort it? Im missing my supra forum fix! |

Well, cellular providers always install all kinds of garbage that you can't uninstall that runs in the background... I'm running a custom ROM without anything extra added and then I added my own apps. My phone's a PocketPC (runs Windows Mobile) though.
Check out this site for information on getting it to run smoother and customize it: www.howardforums.com |
Android app
Someone needs to make an Android app that will work for the forums! Searching topics, getting notifications, etc!!

I'm now running Android on my HD2... the only problems I ever have with the site is a rare "Open Proxy" error.
It's a combination of phone and provider, but I've not had trouble with any specific browser. |
I'm running the apple iPhone 4 and this site works great on my phone I never get on the computer
