[QUOTE=supraturbo_mk3]I have had my needle bouncing at 160mph for miles on the ohio turn pike Elyria exit to exit 162 71 south I got there in less then 10mins the toll booth lady made me pull over after she seen how fast I got there but the staty had to let me go bc in ohio they have to catch you red handed in the act and have your car clocked. I had very few mods at the time too.
Sounds to me like your speedo doesn't work properly, that section of the turnpike has a major gownhill grade, or you were dreaming. |

So, 160 kph on the Ohio turnpike = about 100 mph. 225 kph is about 140 mph and possible with a stock but fresh MK3...(I know you're joking) I gotta get me one of those Canadian gauges. |

ok kids first off I never said the car was stock.......all I had done was a custom 3inch down pipe, 3inch exhaust, a shim'ed wastegate MBC (12psi) and an aftermarket turbo inlet I had very few mods so no I dont have a "canadian" speedo..........Im sorry you idiots cant seem to get your car up to 160mph.........further more you have to take into account 99% of car's after about 120mph there stock speedo is off.........but I watched my needle bounce at 160mph plenty of times and the mk3 is good for 175mph

Just over 160
ECU was modified, so I was coming back from Orlando , caught the turnpike and had a "spotter" about two miles ahead on the phone (handsfree). Ran just a little over 160. Maybe could have gone faster, but ran up on a lot of traffic after "lagging back" for some distance. Smooth ride too. SOLID
