well... the mk3 is little bit heavyer then the mk2... so i pretty sure... he will take you at the lauch at the biginer.... but for high end which is high speed you kick his head off... you will smoke him... well my mk2 before auto/manual n n/a into turbo conversion.... i hit my mk2 stock motor nothing modify to it... i hit 14.8sec. in 1/4mile... i take out on some GS-R.... n i totally take Civic Si coupe.... i talking about the 98-2004 Si coupe tho... n i hang with the '94-95 GS-R.... thats only my auto tho... n as to date... i way better then that... so hope this will make up your make on your mk3 what to do... n whats need to upgrade to improve the performance....

I figured a RWD car would have more traction since thats where all the weight gets transferred to when you take off....but anywho yah those cars are heavy as hell and they dont have a lot of torque so there not great off the line. but mine is pretty fast(86.5). Especially considering how old the car is. even if he beats you...your car is 10 years older than his. it also depends on if the accord is a 4 cyl or not. People get cars with 4 cylinders and manual transmissions and think they are hotrodders.
