wow, that's an awesome bumper vent forthe intercooler! would you mind sharing how you did that? also, have you heard of celicasupra.com?
|
Thanks,
It was actually a p.i.t.a. but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. Since the bumper was already cut out like that when i got the car (would never have done this otherwise but I needed to cover the big hole up somehow) I took a spare grill, & measured & cut it according to the proper size. It was alot of meauring & cutting, trimming & sanding. Then each honeycomb had to be sanded & pained several times. I also had to add 3 L brackets to give it support in the back. Yes, I am familiar with cs.com...have been a member since 05 (same username) |
cool stuff. i was thinking of doing something similar when i do my 7mgte swap in the future to increase airflow to the IC. on these cars that seems to be the only turbo hang up is the lack of ventilation for a FMIC.

While airflow is important, it really isn't an issue with the fmic on these cars. There are tons of other problems & things to address before even bothering to think about how to make more airflow to the IC. With the stock grill & lower front skirt, I can't say I've ever read, seen or heard anyone even mention airflow as an issue.

That is such an awesome MKII! :) I love it!

Wow!!its a pretty car.after doing little modification it will look very attractive and more beautiful.Post the pics after doing complete modification.
