Rust from trim, not likely in door metal
I removed my door trim on my 85 only to find that the rust I thought was from the door was coming from a steel strip embedded in the trim. You may have the same issue.

Congrats. A friend of mine who is like my uncle bought a white '89 Turbo in 1996 and still has it. Good luck with build! It is nice to get a cheap car and restore it.

good deal by you

good deal on the car, I have the 86 without the turbo. I also see that it doesn't have the TEMS system over the shocks. A sway bar over the engine works nice there for some good grip.
Also, to clean up the engine I use Honda S100 for motorcycles but it makes the black on the engine look brand new. The blue is a great interior also, good luck with the car. |
;) hey that rust on the doors look more like is from the molding. remove it carefully ,remember theres a screw on the front that you need to remove from the inside . the mark from the rust you can remove it with some rubbing compound . my first supra had that problem and it was those shitty moldings. nice car man and enjoy rebuilding it. :offwall:
