Default Supra beginner, good find?

1985 6mge

so i'm a volkswagen guy. or at least i have been for the last whole bunch of years. i really wanna get into an older japanese rear wheel drive the upcoming season. mkii supra is definitely way up on my list. i would also jump on a chance to buy an e70 corolla if the price was right. (lookin to spend $1000-$2000)

i'm gonna be looking at this car in person later this week, any advice on what to look for? from what i understand the 6mge is not original to the car

any advice would be greatly appreciated... thanks in advance
