What's in your stable?
Most likely there has been a thread like this ,but peoples cars always change and we love to talk about them :)
My other ride is a 1974 'Cuda. My mother seen it for sale at a carshow and said if I didn't buy it she would ,the next day I had a credit card company trying to give me a card and after 3 years I finaly got it all paid off. I took it apart last year to restore it ,then I bought the Supra and got tied up in that. I now have two cars in pieces :P But the 'Cuda can at least move under it's own power if you don't mind sitting on a bucket. Hopefully by the end of this year they will both be back in good order. My previouse POS's were 1974 Dodge Aspen ,1979 Monte Carlo ,1983 Chevy Camaro ,1985 Chevy Cavalier ,1993 Pontiac Grand Am ,1974 Chevy Nova (not a daily driver) ,1998 Ford Mustang ,1974 Plymouth 'Cuda (not a daily driver) ,2001 Jeep Cherokee ,1988 Toyota Supra (not a daily driver) |
Currently I have my 89 supra, 86.5 supra and my wife has a 04 jeep liberty.
Cars I've had in the past are: 74 AMC hornet, primer grey - yes I got pulled over alot for no reason. 64 Plymouth Valiant - had a push button transmission... I miss this car. 91 Ford Escort GT - at least it had a mitsubishi motor in it! Was a good running car |

Hood ornament. Cherry, inside and out. Runs like new. Stacked headlights; no 'B' pillar (so windows down is big, wide open space). After-market CD stereo system. Trunk so big, I could go camping, and sleep in it. Cruises at 80mph like a dream. State Farm Insurance as an Antique, so full coverage is only $13 mo. |

Let's try to keep this thread about the original question... What's "IN" your stable?? Not what "was" in your stable? Because "I" could go on & on &on, as I "have owned" 54 cars and trucks, and 42 motorcycles. Thanks. |

Jan. 18th, 2008. Bought a 1990 Mercedes-Benz 300CE.
151,000 miles. White with Palomino leather interior. Sunroof. This car was garage kept, and runs perfect, & looks like new, inside & out. I replaced the Mercedes wheels (in the photo) with some 17" Enkei chrome wheels & Falken tires. Its not a sports car, and does not handle the mtn roads like my Supra, but it sure is great to drive. It hauls ass, too ! 140mph, no problem. 3.0L twin overhead I-6 motor. 220hp. State Farm Ins. is the same as the Supra. |

1986.5 Mkiii Silver with grey interior, currently no motor but it had a 7mge but i am in the process of getting a 7mgte motor for the swap not to much got it cheap just hopin to get it back on the road.

I have a 1986 Toyota Supra 5 speed 90,000 miles
I owned this car for more than ten years and only drive it a couple times a year. Due to a large error in the factory head bolt torque specifications, all of these engines had severe problems with blown head gaskets. Toyota never issued a recall for any of the affected vehicles. The problem could be easily fixed by replacing the head gasket and torquing the head bolts to 75 lb·ft (102 N·m) of torque. However, due to the lack of a recall or appropriate service bulletin, the head gasket problem would recur if the gasket was replaced and the bolts were retorqued to the erroneous service manual specifications. With the head bolts torqued correctly, the engines were otherwise extremely durable. Thank you Tom |
