Non-Supra (Holden Commodore)
Ok first of all, I'll introduce myself.:)
Hello my name is Ryan, I'm 21 and live in Australia. I love the Supras, but I don't know a great deal about them, so if I say something misleading please correct me. Anyway this is my car. http://img95.imageshack.us/img95/1361/vlinteriorgs5.jpg http://img301.imageshack.us/img301/2...dsvl282ho8.jpg http://img97.imageshack.us/img97/4829/dadsvl288ko3.jpg http://img225.imageshack.us/img225/6...dsvl151xs6.jpg It's a 1986 Holden VL Commodore (The Aussie guys will know this model off by heart) It's got a 3.0L SOHC Nissan RB30E, and a Nissan MF5 5 Speed. (They came factory, with Nissan engines and drivetrains) It's not a overly fast car, but it does a great job for me. Only bad thing about these cars, is they get a bad reputation by morons. Thankyou guys, Ryan.:) |
Wow, I just read an article in Nov. 2006's Super Street magazine and on page 77 they have a little insert titled "Holden Commodore GT-R?" It talks about the Commodore VL and how Holden (GM's Australian affiliate) sourced a motor from "shift-happy" Nissan. Initially it came equipped with the RB30E and later was offered as a turbo RB30ET.
Looks very nice. |
That's correct buddy.;)
Another popular mod on these, is an RB26 Head on the RB30 block. They are very fast when turboed. They aren't very heavy at all. Thankyou. |
