wah wah wah
Will you guys stop crying about the car? It doesn't have an I6, no turbos, it doesn't look big enough, it's not a real supra, blah blah blah. Do you realize that in order to make the car affordable, Toyota has to build it with shared parts from other cars in its lineup. What new car has the 2Jay-Z motor in it? None. They have to use the 3.5V6 from the IS350 and the V8 from the GS models to keep costs down. What good is knowing that it has the mythical straight 6, if you can't afford it? And why do you want turbos so much? Do you like lag, additional weight and complexity?
Also, whoever said that the V8 supra will be too heavy must be forgetting what kind of engine block the MK4 had. Iron. The all-aluminum 4.3 will probably be lighter, or at least the same weight. Forget about the V6, that thing's gona be a featherweight compared to the straight 6. In conclusion to my little rant, the V8 supra will probably be a low to mid 12-second car, and the V6 a low 13's car, seeing as how an automatic 306hp IS350 does high 13's. That will easily outclass the MK4 with its allmighty turbos. Stop complaining and just enjoy the fact that Toyota still gives a damn about you and doesn't spend all the Supra development money on a new 4x4.
