Check the spare tire well for any rust. I dont think there is any way to hide a blown head gasket, but check the oil to see if the level is ok. Then check the oil cap for any milky substance. If you suspect it might have a blown head gasket the only effective thing you can do is drive the car around for about a half hour to see if the temp. gauge goes up and check the level of the coolant. Note the level in the resovoir bottle before and after the drive. If it is the same then no worries. Rev the engine a little bit and listen for a knock. Check the body for any rust as you would with any other car. And check for any kind of leaks. Thats about it. Just go over a routine check of the car as you would any normal car.
