I'd say the 7M-GTE swap would be the most cost effective but probably the least reliable *ONLY* if you don't take care of it. Make it a habit to check your oil every time you fill up on gas and when you do the headgasket make sure it's done right. The 1JZ-GTE would be the second expensive and second most reliable. And the 2JZ-GTE would be the most expensive and most reliable. These swaps cost upwards of $7k. Engines usually cost around $700-$1000 to install. And thats for a direct swap, no wiring harness work or parts. The 7M-GTE has more mods on the market than the 1JZ but the 2JZ has the most mods available.
