Is your powersteering hard or does your ps pump make noise?
Really?? What would happen if the metal rod coming from the body was plugged to the bottom of the charcoal canister?? Cause it seems it was and it snapped, now im wondering what that hose coming out from the passenger body is??

Wow, you've bumped a VERY old thread... don't know if any of the original posters will ever see it.

The fresh air inlet at the bottom of the charcoal canister is only held by a rubber grommet in the frame. The other end is not plumbed anywhere.... it just can't open into the engine bay in case fuel vapors should start venting out of it due to a bad valve.

Turns out there was this metal rod connecting that hose to the hose coming out from the bottom of the charcoal canister, i knew it was there cause i saw the rod dangling and it had the other torn part of the hose with the clamp on it, yet i looked up hose diagrams and it shows that its supposed to be open to let air flow. So whats the hose (shown above) go to?

Edit: Sorry for the huge pic, but it doesnt expand further so guess its alright.

Could be the drain for the condensation pan for the A/C.... I really can't remember.

I think that is for the a/c drain since it drips water on my aftermarket header.
