Default On my way to work this afternoon....

I go to crank my vehicle and it is completly dead... battery is so dead that i couldnt even jump start it lol.... Brand new battery...

I hope i just left a door a little ajar and the interior lights ran down the battery it was sitting there for a few days.

I know the car won't let you leave the headlights on, not sure about the interior lights though, do they turn off after a certain amount of time??

If so then my alternator is probably to blame...

Anyone know if interior lights stay on if door is slightly ajar?

Try'n to determine if its a bad alternator or if i just drained the battery

Sounds like a defective battery. Put a charge on it and see if it starts.

I'm iterested in this too. I know its not my battery as I've had 2 others drain on me. What else could be causing a fast drain?

Have you tested your alternator yet?
Do you have any aftermaket parts connected that could be draining your battery?
Do you have a ammeter to check your battery draw when the vehicle is off?
I love answering a question with three more.
Ray.

Lights will stay on if the door is slightly open.

yeah when i had my car in the garage fixing the rear quarter, i would always end up leaving the door open a little bit, and if it's not completely latched, the interior light will drain your battery.. went to start it and the battery was so dead the car wouldnt even ding when i put the key in haha. had to charge the battery like 3 or 4 times because of this
