What a nightmare!
So I started another 7M swap. This time non-turbo real nice black mkIII with blown engine. I purchased ANOTHER jdm engine from the same place I always do. Only this time I put everything together, new clutch, tranny's bolted up, etc. I hoisted it up and went to set it on the mounts and realized the oil pan wasn't clearing. Then I had to pull it out again. Sure enough, oil pans are COMPLETELY different along with the oil pumps. Now I get to wait til next week to get the old oil pan hot tanked as it is full of metal debree and order a new oil pump. I've never had this problem before and I've done plenty of swaps. Anyone know what this engine could have came out of? The mounts were all different and the fuel filter was on the side of the block.....weird
Anyways, I would be firing it up right now if it wasn't for the BS.

It came from a Cressida. And since you still have the motor out of the car, I'd suggest giving the engine a once over. JDM motors come out of junkyards most of the time.
