Starter Problem
I am now currently on my second starter, soon to be third on friday. It keeps staying engaged. I know this because if I hit it with something it starts. I find it's a little easier if someone holds the ignition to the start position and I just need to very lightly tap it. This is the same problem i had for the other starter before this one. When i get a reman. starter it works really well for a few months and then it almost stops working. It's kind of like a gamble now as to whether or not it starts. Please help? It's kind of embarrassing. Thanks.

It really depends on where you buy the reman starter. My shop only buys from the local Carquest because over the years we've seen too many problems with the real cheap ones. Sometimes right out of the box.
(people come in with the problem and tell us they put in a new one from autozone or pepboys.) i.e.: Mazda MPV starter from the zone = $50 lifetime warranty starter from carquest = $84 lifetime warranty, & we warranty our labor for 1yr. We have to warranty our work, and we don't want to do it twice. Same goes for alternators. And we won't use reman injectors either.
